Finding Heights of Objects Using Similarity
Work for the Problem
In this activity, we used a meter stick to find the length of a tall pole using shadows. To do this, we collected the length of the meter stick, shadow of the meter stick, and the shadow of the pole. My math working above shows how we used proportions to find the length of the tall pole.
